Bow legs, knock knees and flat feet are frequent concerns of parents. All children are born with a mild bowing to the legs. The lower half of the leg often has a seemingly pronounced curve. All children have "fat" feet that appear to be flat. It is very difficult to describe normal versus abnormal without many detailed pictures and a 6 month course in orthopedics. If you are concerned about the shape of the legs or feet or there is a family history of any bone or joint problem, please ask me about it when you next see me.
