INFANTS: I always recommend Dove, Tone or Cetaphil soaps, but any made for baby soap is fine, so long as you don't get a rash. Once your baby is clean and thoroughly dry (especially in the creases), then you can apply any lotion labeled safe for babies to his or her skin if you wish. Try to stay away from heavily perfumed lotions. The best lotions are Eucerin, Alpha-Keri, Moisturel, Curel and Lubriderm, but anything labeled safe for babies is OK and remember that no lotion is actually needed.

CHILDREN: The above still applies. The older a child gets, even those with eczema, the less you should have to do to prevent or treat dry skin.
