Sneezing is very common and is simply the body's attempt to expel an irritant from the nose. If your baby is otherwise healthy, an occasional sneeze is normal, but a lot of sneezing can be caused by smoking (either around the baby or just the smoke on the clothes from smoking), perfumes, various household sprays, pets (especially cats), laundry soap, etc. To find the culprit and stop the sneezing, look at where your baby is sneezing the most and start removing the irritants one by one starting with smoking. Babies that sneeze in bed or when next to certain clothes or linen may be allergic to the soap. If this is the case, then try Dreft or any irritant free soap and rinse the linen or clothes twice in the washer. Also, consider not using fabric softener or bleach.
